Ghostcity on Tour! Part 3: Leipzig

More or less the only picture from Leipzig, as there wasn't time to take any more.
Building up (THANK YOU!, Jonas & Anna!), performing, tearing down.

Ah, wait, there is one more:
Enjoy my favorite toilet space!

And go visit the Lindenfels Westflügel! It's an amazing building, theatre and place to meet people!

Ghostcity on Tour! Part 1: Magdeburg

First part of the journey: Magdeburg!

Unfortunately, this

led to that

so that we didn't get further than this

. The hall would have been amazing for our purposes though, and Ralf and his crew who had already started to set up the technical side of our show seemed to be great to work with..
I can fully understand the reasons for cancelling the festival.
Still. It would have been a bliss to work with the people we met and perform for Magdeburg's and the festival's audience! Hoping that it'll really be possible to postphone the whole thing to 2014!

Unten / Down on Tour

Drawer & me & spectators in Amersfoort, Netherlands - Franje Festival

Drawer & me & SOS-Button in Luzern, Switzerland - Fumetto Festival

Thanks for amazing audiences!
There have been other towns & festivals as well, but I've yet to learn to either take a camera myself or to contact people who take pictures immediately - once I'm with a spectator it's hard to jump after someone.

Apart from touring Life & Art & Theatre still hold me firmly in their grips, which is the reason for this blog's bareness. But soon another building period will come, and with it hopefully one or another photograph of stuff in progress.

Unten / Down

Unten / Down
-
A 3-dimensional comic, a zograscope.

So much happened during the last months in which I didn't write anything here, but this probably is the most important thing. Johanna Seipelt and me were planning, thinking, building, rehearsing, and, finally, performing ... And now it's done, at least for now.

Thanks a lot to all the visitors of the Comicsalon Erlangen who came to watch, enjoy, discuss, and also to those who spread the word so that it actually became nearly impossible to start packing on sunday evening, as there were always new people running towards us, trying to get a last glance into our cupboard.

(There might be happening some post-dated blog entries.. Keep your eyes open.)

Ghostcity

Two more months have passed, and now it's done: Ghostcity exists!
The first 6 evenings in front of audience are done, one more to go in Basel, then moving to Aarau next week to perform there, then we're off to Frankfurt/Main. A filled summer.
It's good to have audience now, it's a bliss to perform, and I'm very happy with the results of our work. Hooray!

100 Years Women's Day

In Flensburg we celebrated the 100th birthday of the women's day with a huge art performance at the town hall. 12 visual artists - Antje Fuchs, Lena Kießling, Brigitta Krause, Solvej Krüger, Barbara Leonhard, Christiane Limper, Melanie Loitz, Karin Mohrdieck, Sigrid Maria Möller, Dorothee Mügge, Julia-Friederike Nierade and Maren Schwartzkopf - each created a costume that expresses their art-approach and has a connection to feminity, and presented them in a kind of fashion show.
I had been asked to join the group in late january, as another artist broke her leg and wasn't able to perform. As I was pretty busy I asked permission to use an "old" costume - and there she was, The Bride!

(Pictures: Winfried Lühr-Tanck)

Special Thanks to Antje Fuchs, who organized the whole show.

There has been made a calendar 2012 that features the 12 artists and costumes.
If you're interested in buying it, ask me for more information!
